MANAMA: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: Fakhro Motors has become the first to launch a range of fully electric models in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“Bahrain has a great potential for electric cars and BYD is overwhelmed with the launch of its fully electric cars in Bahrain,” AD Huang, General Manager Middle East and Africa, Auto Sales Division at BYD Auto Industry said.
On the sidelines of the launch event which held at Gulf Convention Centre, Gulf Hotel, AD Huang told The24X7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com) that the first shipment is around of 100 cars and the number of cars will grow as we move forward and soaring demand for the BYD Auto in Bahrain.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Abdulla Bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Bahrain, Ni Ruchi, the Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Esam Abdulla Fakhro, Chairman, Abdulla Yousif Fakhro & Sons., Adel Abdulla Fakhro, Group Managing Director, Abdulla Yousif Fakhro & Sons., Mohamed Adel Fakhro, Managing Director, Fakhro Motors, Ahmed Esam Fakhro, Director, Fakhro Motors, AD Huang, Santhosh Antony, General Manger Fakhro Motors and Commercial Counselor Li Baoan, Commercial Counselor, Chinese Embassy of Bahrain.
The launch marked the introduction of two fully electric models BYD ATTO 3, a compact SUV, and the BYD HAN, a luxury sedan. BYD celebrated its six millionth new energy vehicle that rolled off the production line, making it the first automaker globally to achieve this remarkable milestone.
