The Public Prosecution has confirmed the natural death of a Bahraini woman at her home in Mahza, Sitra.
“The woman died of cardiac and respiratory problems as she was suffering from brain sclerosis and pulmonary inflammation”, Central Prosecutor Osama Al-Asfoor, said.
A post mortem autopsy was conducted on the corpse on the demand of the deceased’s brother, who earlier claimed that his sister had died of tear gas inhalation.
The medical examiner reported no injuries of criminal origin resulting in the death of the 48-year woman.
Lab tests conducted on samples taken from the body revealed no traces of tear gas, sedatives of tranquilizers or Psychotropic Substances.
The medical examiners reported only traces of anti-epileptic medications.
The Public Prosecution then ordered the body to be buried on conducting the post mortem autopsy.
