Bahrain construction sector is set to rebound soon, thanks to the new projects in the country and as a result of a huge boom in the construction, according to a report.
The report also highlighted the keenness of the government to offer all possible support to the construction sector.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain is one of few countries which have emerged unscathed from the recent international economic recession,” it said.
Danube Building Materials Company in a report said that it had posted a 31% growth in revenue from its Bahraini operations for the first two quarters of 2011.
“Despite the unrest that took place in the early part of the year, the company said that Bahrain’s recovery was bolstered by new construction projects worth over $1.62billion over the last few quarters.
“These are vibrant times for Bahrain, which is currently witnessing a key influx of construction projects that can ultimately give the country a great push towards economic recovery,” said Rizwan Sajan, the founder and chairman of Danube. The report anticipated that the year 2012 will see at least 5% growth in most business and industrial sectors in the Kingdom.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain remains to be one of the most significant markets for our company and we are quite sure that we will be able to realize a stronger business growth in the first half of the year 2012,” he added.
