Jet Airways, which posted $50 million profit during last quarter of 2010, announced the appointment of Dadabhai Travel GSA Bahrain as part of the airline’s strategy to tap the existing potential through the right partners.
The opening ceremony of the Jet Airways GSA office in Bahrain was attended by Mohammed Dadabhai, Chairman Dadabhai Group, Indian Ambassador in Bahrain, Jet Airways top officials, representatives of the travel and tourism industry as well as heads of various airlines in Bahrain.
“Jet Airways decision to appoint Dadabhai Travel as GSA is a proof of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strong economic outlook and attractive business and investment climate,” Mohammed Dadabhai in a statement said.
“The expansion of our operation comes in line with the economic exchange increase between Bahrain and Indian and also in line with the expansion of the group which has been growing 25 per cent annually for the last three years,” said Abdulrahman Harith Albusaidi, Jet Airways Group President.
“Jet Airways which achieved a profit of $50 million during the last quarter of 2010 despite the tough economic conditions, is upbeat to enhance its market share by working with local partners,” he added.
“The opening of GSA office will also create job opportunities for the locals and Jet Airways will provide ample training opportunities to all high potential candidates. Recently we have recruited many Bahrainis for our operations in Saudi and we will take more numbers in the future,” he added.
Albusaid thanked the Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa for providing all possible assistance to Jet Airways group and also praised the role of the Civil Aviation Authority for their support particularly by Undersecretary Captain Abdulrahman Algaod.
