His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa hailed strong historical relations between Bahrain and the UK expressing keenness on more cooperation between both countries in various fields.
He was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace British Conservative Party Treasurer George Magan. He stressed that Bahrain has succeeded in laying solid bases for the modern civil state thanks to the wise directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
This is reflected in the climate of democracy reigning in Bahrain, he said stressing the government’s keenness on boosting citizens’ welfare.HRH the Prime Minister affirmed that the National Consensus Dialogue reflected the Kingdom’s keenness to safeguard people’s rights and achieve their aspirations.
“Preserving security and stability and consolidating social cohesion is a pre-requisite for development,” he asserted pointing out that setting up Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to international conventions.
The British official hailed strong ties binding both countries lauding Bahrain’s progress at all levels as well as its strategic status as a financial hub.
