His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, have asserted that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s landmark reform and development achievements are “unprecedented”, affirming that the National Consensus Dialogue Visions will bring about highly-advanced and qualitative leaps in the political, economic and social areas and have positive impact on all walks of life once they are translated into the ground.
“The National Consensus Dialogue reflected HM King Hamad’s strong resolve to carry on the reform march despite the challenges and the Bahraini citizens’ strong belief in democracy and national unity as the best means to ensure a more prosperous future, as well as their adherence to the dialogue table, the exclusive and most effective venue where national action can be enhanced,” they said.
This came as HRH Premier received, in the presence of HRH Crown Prince, the final report of the Government Committee in Charge of Following up on the Implementation of the National Consensus Dialogue Recommendations, led by Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.
They also pointed out that the Kingdom is on the threshold of a new phase, which, they affirmed, requires all to join ranks in order to bring about more constitutional and legislative reforms that reflect popular will.
During their meeting, the two princes reviewed a number of national issues, stressing that all constitutional institutions should work hand in hand, and in total harmony, in order to safeguard and consolidate the kingdom’s hard-won achievements so as to strengthen and consolidate further the national social fabric.
They also lauded the Bahraini women’s historic success at the recent by-elections, testifying to the Bahraini people’s confidence in their capability to be successful in the legislative field, as they have proved in others.
In this regard, they offered their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Bahraini women, noting that such a victory reflects the Bahraini society’s political maturity.
They also indicated that the Kingdom’s democracy has always, and will remain, a hub of freedom and national unity, reiterating their strong support for a democracy that promotes development and optimizes political, economic and social achievements, in line with the principles of HM King Hamad’s pioneering Reform Project and the Bahraini citizens’ aspirations.
