A record number of partygoers packed the Abu Dhabi Corniche on Friday night to get a glimpse of the hottest international line up of stars performing as part of the free ‘Beats on the Beach’ concert series.
Over 200,000 music lovers left their footprints in the sand joining artists from around the world on the Abu Dhabi Corniche to celebrate Yasalam’s Beats on the Beach free concert series, which have been hailed the biggest since Yasalam’s start 2 years ago.
The starry musical night began with The Recipe and Emirati beauty Aryam. British-Indian pop sensation Jay Sean had Abu Dhabi partying like it was the end of the world, Example continued the vibe and British DJ Fatboy Slim had dance lovers grooving well into the night. Part of Yasalam’s Live on the Corniche, Beats on the Beach is a free event that runs alongside the official F1 FanZone, filled with motorsport themed activities for all the family.
The fourth and closing night of Beats on the Beach will see Desert Heat, Hasna Zalagh, local band Juliana Down, UK artist Eliza Doolittle and Tunisian superstar Saber Al Robai hit the stage.
Last night marked the first of the after-race concerts, ‘Live on Yas Island’, with Britney Spears, delivering world-class entertainment. The Yasalam after-race concerts are exclusively for 2011 F1 Etihad Airways Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders and will see Incubus, The Cult and Sir Paul McCartney in the 2 remaining nights.
