Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) delegation led by BCCI’s chairman Dr. Essam Abdullah Fakhroo and comprising BCCI’s financial secretary Othman Sharif and BCCI’s CEO Ebrahim Ahmed Al-Linjawi departs for Japan to attend the 15th Asia and Pacific ILO’s Regional meeting.
The Conference was inaugurated by the Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiko Noda in Kyoto, Japan. The conference over the four days covers employment, economic horizons and the challenges, obstacles facing appropriate employment in Asia and the Pacific, the impact of natural disasters as well as the latest socio-economic and political developments in the Middle East.
The agenda of the meeting include various topics related to manpower in Asia and the Pacific and focuses on the challenges facing appropriate employment, observance of vast diversity in the region, the impact of natural disasters, rapid socio-economic and political transformations in the Middle East.
The meeting’s three sessions focus on issues of coordination pertaining to overall economy, employment policies, community protection, developing productive sustainable organizational skills and upgrading labour rights and social dialogue.
The Japanese government hosts one function to discuss response to the crisis through employment and two functions are due to be organized by ILO regarding green jobs and partnerships.
