The Minister of Energy, Chairman of National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and Chairman of Bapco’s Board, Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza met with Korea’s GS Group Chairman, Chang-Soo Huh.
The meeting was held at Al-Dar in Awali and was attended by Bapco’s Chief Executive, Faisal Al-Mahroos, Deputy Chief Executive, Gordon Smith, and other officials. The GS team also comprised the President of GS Engineering and Construction (GS E&C), Sang-Ryong Woo, and Jong-Soo Kim, the Project Director of Bapco’s Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Project which is currently being built by GS E&C.
The meeting reviewed the strong possibilities of bilateral cooperation between the two companies for future refinery projects. Other issues such as changes in management techniques of large investment projects and evolution of project execution methodologies to fast track mega projects were also discussed.
