The AMA International University Bahrain (AMAIUB) celebrated its 7th graduation ceremony at the Al Dana Ballroom, Gulf Hotel International Convention Centre. The ceremony marked another glorious year for the University in the Kingdom of Bahrain since its inception in 2002.
With the University’s global recognition and affiliation with premier partners, this year’s successful graduates have the competitive edge in the job market to pursue their dream careers in the Kingdom and in other parts of the world. The graduates were conferred with Bachelor’s Degrees in International Studies, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering and Informatics Engineering. Master’s Degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration as well as Doctor of Medicine were also awarded.
“Bahrain’s economic activity among the graduate and middle-aged workforce is very high compared to many other larger world economies,” University President, Ambassador Amable R. Aguiluz V, said.
“This indeed calls for suitable skills development and competency enhancement in different industries for students in Bahrain to make them even more employable. These successful students definitely hold an edge over their counterparts due to the amount of time and effort the University has invested in each one of them.”
Recognizing the role of education as the country’s backbone for progress, the Kingdom of Bahrain aligns its education goals with the needs of a technologically-advanced society that expects its people to be culturally aware, internationally focused and able to thrive in an increasingly global and competitive environment.
AMAIUB shares the Economic Vision 2030 of the Kingdom of Bahrain as it strives to be one of the key players towards the Kingdom’s educational direction and transition into a knowledge-based economy and society. With the conferment of the 603 graduates of Class 2011, the University has increased its alumni to 90% most of whom hold positions in various fields and industries.
