The fabulous presentations of Pakistani dresses by the models won many accolades during a unique show held at the Bahrain Museum under auspices of the Pakistan embassy.
Ambassador Jauhar Saleem was joined by the Chief Guest Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa by acknowledging the presentation, creation of designs and the international standard of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design.
Ambassador Jauhar, who has been at helms of affairs at the Pakistan embassy for the past six months, reiterated the richness and sophistication of Pakistani culture and need to promote beyond the boundaries of the country as part of building a soft image of Pakistan.
“Fashion is something is shared by all cultures and bringing Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design’s best of best to Bahrain will help people to understand this much neglected aspect of Pakistani society. Fashion and design is something very delicate and it needs to be promoted, shared and presented to this part of the world,” he said.
Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, an artist and well acclaimed figure in the arts Bahrain, appreciated and lauded the efforts of the Pakistan Ambassador Jauhar to host this fabulous show and providing a rare opportunity the audience to witness the richness of fashion, designing and presentation of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design.
Highlighting the roots of Indus Civilisation and its impact on the entire Arab world said the models displayed beautiful dresses which have texture, design, presentation, mix of colours, and on the top of rare sense of stitching.
