His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in his address on the occasion of the 11th Anniversary of the National Action Charter emphasized the continuation of the reforms, development and modernization drive as ensivaged in national action charter.
Following is the text of speech:
In the name of God the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
Peace and God’s mercy and blessings be upon you
We are pleased to address you today, as always, with an open heart, feelings of compassion and aspirations to work together with you for the benefit and progress of our nation.
We congratulate you on the anniversary of the National Action Charter, whose methods and principles we agreed upon, and we emphasize the continuation of the reforms, development and modernization drive of our beloved nation thanks to a vision based on broader popular participation through the elected council which exercises its main role in overseeing the government action, based on the endorsed national values.
Brothers and Sisters,
As we celebrate the Day of the Charter, it is necessary to emphasize the spirit of cohesion and reconciliation between all components of the Bahraini society.
There is no doubt that everyone is looking to achieve this objective, and we are pleased to see today sincere and honest calls from those who are keen on the unification and cohesion of the community.
We pray for the success of these efforts in order to overcome the phase experienced by our beloved country, and to start a new phase of hard and honest work for the benefit of the homeland and the citizens.
We remain committed to the reforms that we launched a decade ago with the consensus of all the sons and daughters of our loyal people through the unprecedented referendum on the National Action Charter, an auspicious occasion that we celebrate today.
It marked the launch of a development and modernization process, which is still moving forward to meet the aspirations of our loyal people in all areas.
May God guide us all to please Him, and May peace and God’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
