Bahraini retail and commercial banking institution, BMI Bank signed a strategic and exclusive service agreement with CrediMax, the leading credit card acquirer in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to utilize their Point of Sales (POS) machines as well as payment gateways amongst its approved merchants to accept and authorize the Bank’s credit card product Diners Club cards within Bahrain.
The ceremony which was held at the corporate offices of CrediMax was attended by Eyad Sater General Manager Support Services BMI Bank, Mohammed Malik Chief Executive CrediMax along with senior officials from both parties.
“Established in 1950, Diners Club was the first multi-purpose charge card in the world and launched a revolution in the way both customers and companies paid for products and services. Today, the brand is globally recognized serving the payment needs of select and affluent consumers, offering access to more than 450 airports lounges worldwide, and providing corporations and small business owners with a complete array of expense management solutions,” Eyad Sater, said.
“We acquired the Diners Club franchise for Bahrain in early 2008, in line with our strategy to strengthen relationships with many of our commercial customers as well to add an acquiring capability to our business. The addition of Diners Club to our suite of card offerings allows us to better serve our most affluent clients whilst giving them additional benefits and value to suit their lifestyle,” he said.
