His Royal Highness Prince Al-Hassan bin Talal visited the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies where he was welcomed by the Minister of Education Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi and a number of officials.
Prince Al-Hassan toured the centre and was given a brief presentation on the support the center receives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He was also briefed on the transformation of the facility from a centre for research and studies into a think tank concerned with energy and international issues.
The minister welcomed the prince’s visit, stressing his keen interest in developing bilateral relations, noting his contributions in forums and international conferences and his ongoing efforts in maintaining the Arab identity and citizenship and enriching Arab thinking.
Prince Al Hassan and the minister also discussed ways of cooperation between the two nations where the center would organize meetings between officials and specialists in this area.
The prince expressed his delight at visiting Bahrain, hailing HM the King’s interest in strategic and international studies.
He also congratulated Bahrain on being chosen as the Capital of Arab Culture 2012, and stressed on the importance of culture and knowledge as well as enriching the Arab identity and strengthening it and its reach across the world.
Prince Al-Hassan also noted that think-tanks like the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies provide the necessary tools and knowledge to help build a brighter future.
He added that Arab Nations were in dire need for such centers to develop policies and reach latest news and studies concern security and energy to achieve a better life for their citizens.
