Directors of the GCC News Agencies concluded their 15th meeting at the GCC General-Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh, in the presence of GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Culture and Information Affairs Khalid Al-Ghassani.
During the meeting, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) director Abdulla bin Fahad Al-Hussain, in his speech, welcomed the participants and hoped that the meeting would achieve its goals to keep up with the latest developments in the media field.
The meeting discussed a number of topics in the area of news agencies and the strategy of the joint media work in addition to the proposal of the General-Secretariat regarding a workshop on launching a unified Gulf account on the social communication nets.
The meeting approved the Bahraini proposal on launching a unified account on the YouTube, holding a training session for the Gulf news agencies at the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) in the field of social networks and reviewed SPA’s proposal regarding benefiting from the satellite system that has been used in SPA.
