Sabre Travel Network Middle East (Sabre or STNME), a global technology company serving travel suppliers and agencies, has signed a multi-year deal with Bahrain-headquarter Kanoo Travel (Kanoo), the largest American Express franchise holder in the world.
As a part of this Middle East-wide agreement, Kanoo will continue to use Sabre as their primary Global Distribution System (GDS). Kanoo will also implement Sabre Red Workspace, Sabre’s end-to-end total travel solution across the agency’s branches in the region, including Egypt. Sabre Red’s portfolio of products will help Kanoo vastly improve customer service and increase its operational efficiency.
Poised for regional expansion, Kanoo chose Sabre after much deliberation and painstaking negotiations. This deal highlights the superiority of Sabre’s products as compared to others in the market today.
“After an exhaustive bidding process involving numerous international suppliers, we are pleased to choose Sabre as a valued partner. We have consistently been on the forefront of offering the very best of travel services and keeping with the latest technology helps us achieve this for our customers,” Mubarak Kanoo, Group Chairman, Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo said.
“A Sabre partner for over a decade now, Kanoo has reaffirmed our valued relationship. They were looking for a travel technology company that could help overhaul their systems and improve mid office processes; without any doubt Sabre is that partner. By investing hundreds of millions of dollars every year in research and development, we supply the best in travel technology to the global market,” Harald Eisenacher, senior vice president Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) of Sabre said.
