Over 1000 guests, ministers, head of diplomatic corps and people from all walks attended the reception hosted by US Ambassador Thomas Krajeski marking the 236th United States National Day at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa.
The Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa attended the US National Day reception and was a guest of honour at the cake cutting ceremony among other ministers, officials and the members of the diplomatic corps in Bahrain.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa delegated Minister of State for Follow-up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa attended a ceremony marking the US Independence Day.
Al-Mutawa conveyed greetings and congratulations from HRH the Premier to the US Ambassador and his wishes of further progress and prosperity for the friendly American people.
“Independence Day is a very special occasion for Americans, as it represents an opportunity to celebrate the democratic principles that were the basis the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and that have been sustained for nearly two and a half centuries. It is also an important day to reflect on the strength of the US-Bahraini partnership,” US embassy in a statement said.
“The United States and Kingdom of Bahrain share many of the same values and goals; the roots of our friendship run deep. Our bilateral relationship has translated into economic, social, political and cultural benefits for the people of both countries. We are committed to further building up these vital partnerships and further solidifying the special US-Bahraini relationship, which is based on mutual respect and a long history of consultation between friends,” US Ambassador Thomas C. Krajeski on the occasion of American National Day, said.
He also stressed keenness on promoting bilateral cooperation in all fields.
The US Ambassador extended deep thanks and appreciation to HRH the Premier for his keenness on promoting bilateral relations and bolster cooperation.
