His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa chaired a work meeting dedicated to study new citizen-oriented development projects intended to be launched by the government in the housing, infrastructure, electricity and water, education, health, youth and social development fields.
HRH the Prime Minister gave the go-ahead for many projects in the afore-mentioned sectors in which housing had the lion’s share.
The projects will be funded as part of the GCC countries development programme.
HRH stressed the importance of expediting the implementation of those projects without any delay which could be caused by routine procedures and red tape.
He instructed ministries and government bodies to intensify coordination and boost the one-team spirit among them.
He also directed to carry out new housing projects as part of a strategic scheme aimed at reducing the waiting period for housing units.
HRH the Prime Minister asserted that the government is going ahead with its efforts to launch major development projects and adopt initiatives aimed at boosting citizens’ welfare, optimizing services, promoting the investment climate and providing new job opportunities.
HRH said the new development projects are consistent with the government’s strategy to achieve sustainable development.
