In recognition of support and effort exerted by all parties, INJAZ Bahrain held its annual appreciation event on 18th June at the Crown Plaza Hotel.
Attended the event were all the 600 volunteers who supported INJAZ Bahrain in the delivery of the programs over the last two years, board members, supporters and guests of honor.
The event started with a speech from HH Sheikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Alkahlifa, the Executive Director of INJAZ Bahrain who sincerely thanked all volunteers for inspiring the youth and sharing with them their business knowledge, experience and know-how. She also extended her gratitude to all supporters represented by the 17 board members and donors. In her speech she focused on the effect of the support received from all parties on the expansion and achievement attained by the organization by saying” INJAZ Bahrain owes a great deal of its expansion and accomplishments to the contribution of all parties. INJAZ Bahrain over the last 2 years has reached out to 17200 students in all secondary schools, 60% of the intermediate schools and two universities in addition to some private schools. It is with the effort of our dedicated volunteers we have made this great leap.”
“We certainly believe that the success we have made is vastly attributed to the contribution of effort and time of volunteers from many organizations. It is an achievement that INJAZ Bahrain, its partners and supporters are extremely proud of. It is through the voluntary work extended by volunteers, we succeed to reach out to thousands of students every year.”
HH Shaikha Hessa also stressed on the important role Ministry of Education has played in facilitating the program implementation in all schools. She also touched on the major achievement made over the years and how the organization extended the students’ learning experience by providing them in partnership with the various private sector institutions with a number of mentorship, internship and community service opportunities in an attempt to link what they learn from INJAZ Bahrain programs with the real world of work. The key strategic goals of INJAZ Bahrain for the next three years were also shared with all attendees.
Also addressing the audience, the Chairman of INJAZ Bahrain, A.Rahaman Jawahery who delivered a speech in which he commended effort put in by volunteers and highlighted the importance of the private sector involvement with INJAZ Bahrain in preparing the future workforce, instilling voluntary spirit in the youth and preparing them to continue the course of the Kingdom’s economy.
In his role as Board Member of INJAZ Bahrain, Samer Al-Majali, CEO of Gulf Air INJAZ Bahrain noted INJAZ has given Gulf Air a splendid opportunity to demonstrate the company’s deep commitment to social corporate responsibility in a very dynamic and innovative manner. By partnering with INJAZ Bahrain and working hand in hand with other private sector companies to instill business knowledge and skills in the youth of Bahrain is a real investment of which we should all feel proud.”
Effort of the 600 volunteers who have participated with INJAZ Bahrain during the last two years was acknowledged and all of them were presented with gifts and certificates of appreciation. Also donors and individuals with outstanding support were recognized and presented with awards. The event sponsors, GPIC, BBK, BANAGAS and Gulf Air were thanked and presented with appreciation gifts.
