His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister delegated Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nu’aimi, in laying down the foundation stone for the Arabian Open University’s new buildings in Al-‘Aali.
The ceremony was held under the kind auspices of HRH the Prime Minister and attended by HRH Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the personal representative of HRH Prince bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.
The Minister of Education Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nu’aimi on behalf of HRH the Prime Minister has laid down the foundation stone for the university’s new buildings on a plot of land granted by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Arabian Open University will accommodate after completion of its construction more than 2600 students (from both genders).
The Minister of Education praised the patron of education in the Kingdom who has also patronized the ceremony of laying down the foundation stone for the Arabian Open University and asserted His Highness’s constant keenness on encouraging investment in general and higher education in order for the Kingdom of Bahrain to become an attractive regional hub for education and training commensurate with the Kingdom’s pioneering history of education.
The Minister of Education welcomed HRH Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and praised the role undertaken by the Arabian Open University in building national and GCC cadres through its programs which strive to satisfy the requirements of the local and regional labor market.
Then, HRH Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud delivered a speech on behalf the chairman of the University’s board of trustees HRH Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in which he expressed gratitude and appreciation to HM the King, and to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Government and people for their good hosting and embracing of the Arabian Open University in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HRH Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud submitted utmost signs of gratitude and appreciation to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for HM the and to HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister.
