The Bahrain Centre for Excellence organised at His Royal Highness Prime Minister’s Court, in the presence of the Minister of State for Follow-up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa, the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Lt. General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and InJaz Bahrain Chief Executive Officer Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa, a training workshop for arbitrators.
The event was held ahead of the annual excellence arbitration, to be held from November 5 to 18, with the participation of 54 public and private institutions which will be assessed through a number of indices, including the opinion of dealers, field evaluation conducted through laboratories, self-appraisals and national indicators.
Dr. Al Mutawa said that the Bahrain Excellence programme has been based on self-assessment which, he affirmed, is of great importance in His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s vision as it is one of the most efficient mechanisms to develop government work, adding that the Bahrain Centre for Excellence is keen to promote self-evaluation in all state bodies and institutions.
Lt. General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa praised HRH Premier’s support for the Bahrain Centre for Excellence, in line with his keen desire to upgrade performance of ministries and government departments for the sake of improving the quality of services provided for the citizens.
He also said that the arbitration process aims to identify public institutions’ capability to achieve competiveness and sustainability and transfer experience, adding that institutions with or without competitiveness labs will be covered.
It is to worth noting that the external Arbitration jury includes the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Lt. General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa Minister of State for Follow-up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa, and InJaz Bahrain Chief Executive Officer Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa, as well as the General Coordinator of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme Professor Ahmed Al Nusairat and the Strategic Marketing expert Dr Said Al-Hasan.
