Under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Shaik Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the tenth edition of career expo will be kicked off at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIEC) on Tuesday.
The expo that is organized by National Society for the Support of Education, and strategically partnered with Tmakeen, is also supported by VIVA telecommunications and Aluminum Bahrain (Alba), its platinum sponsors who are committed to community service.
More than 140 organizations from educational, industrial, hospitality, training and health sectors are participating in the expo, as well as, universities and vocational institutes.
The target of the expo is 10,000 secondary school students, who will be transported to Bahrain International Exhibition and Convection Centre through the organizers during the morning opening hours.
The Expo that is going to be held until November 8th is also available for public, during its evening opening hours, starting from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
On a different note, Ministry of Labor is participating with its jobs market, and job’s seekers section. The ministry’s vacancies bank is offering 2213 desired vacancy.
The employment services office in addition to 20 organizations is providing 549 vacancies in the sectors of hospitality, journalism, health, and information technology. Counting all openings, the expo, therefore, is offering a sum of 2762 vacancies.
Expo’s income is going to be donated to Ahlia’s University project “college student support” in which the university is supporting training and education through providing 50 scholarships for low-income students.
Beside, the strategic partner and the platinum sponsors, the expo is also sponsored by Ahlia University and Batelco as golden sponsors, .K. Almoayyed & Sons Group and Gulf Aviation Academy as sliver sponsors, Arabic Shipbuilding and Repair Yard company (ASRY), Gulf Petrochemicals Industries Company (GPIC), and Sabre Travel Network as bronze sponsors.
It is worth to mention that career expo is aiming to close the gap between students and organizations, and provide them with the qualities needed for the job’s market. As it give them the chance to know the career’s trend, and provide them with education and advising.
