Bahrain was the first favourable destination for Saudi tourists during Eid Al-Adha holidays, a report by the Tourism Information and Research Centre (MAS) at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities has revealed.
Figures indicate that Bahrain hosted a total of 276,600 tourists from Saudi Arabia, 128,800 from UAE and 125,800 from Kuwait during Eid Al-Adha holidays.
The report also revealed that the number of outbound Saudi tourists during the same holidays reached 780,000 ones who spend a total of SR 3.2billion, with an average of SR 3990 spent by every tourist.
369,300 persons, except Haj pilgrims, visited Saudi Arabia during the same period and spent about SR 1.800, with an average of SR 4875 for everyone, the report also said.
