A group of students from Sakina bint Husain Primary School for Girls visited the Oil Museum and HRH Princess Sabeeka Park in Awali. The visit is part of the ongoing efforts of the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) to foster mutual cooperation with various organizations and institutions of the Kingdom.
During the visit, the group toured inside the various sections of the museum and was briefed on its collections and possessions. The group also visited HRH Princess Sabeeka Park located in Awali, and viewed the rare plants exist in the park. Upon the conclusion of the tour, school officials thanked Bapco for arranging the visit, and wished Bapco continued progress and prosperity.
HRH Princess Sabeeka Park was opened in February 2010 in Awali. It occupies an area of 43.000 square meters. The park is lush with greenery and is designed in a unique traditional pattern. The park features entertainment facilities, including children play areas and others in addition to a model scientific laboratory for renewable energy. The park enhances Bapco’s leading role in the community and affirms its ongoing commitment to establishing major environmental projects in the Kingdom.
