The Arab Parliament paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his call to resume the national dialogue and tackle pending political issues.
“HM King Hamad’s wisdom in dealing with recent events has been acknowledged regionally and internationally”, Shura Council Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee member Abdulrahman Jamsheer said.
He was speaking as he attended the meeting of the Arab Parliament committee for foreign and political affairs and national security in Cairo, Egypt.
The Arab Parliament stressed the importance of the steps undertaken by HM the King, which reflect Bahrain’s ability to overcome all difficulties and crises thanks to its wise leadership.
Addressing the pan-Arab session, he rejected any flagrant interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs.
He slammed escalating violence, attacks on public and private properties and the exploitation of children in politicized protests, thus jeopardizing people’s lives.
“These unacceptable acts are being escalated as HM the King gave directives to resume the national dialogue”, he said, calling for all efforts to renounce violence and rally behind the wise leadership for Bahrain to overcome this defining moment.
Jamsheer attended the meeting of Arab Parliament committee for foreign and political affairs and national security.
The session discussed the situation in Palestine, the UAE Iran-occupied Islands and Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights and the developments in Somalia.
