His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa chaired at the Gudaibiya Palace on Sunday the regular Cabinet weekly session hailed the successful visit of His Majesty the King to Thailand.
HRH hailed the visit of HM the King to the Kingdom of Thailand, and the hospitality he received, praising the strong friendship between both kingdoms.
HRH Premier welcomed the Formula One race hosted by Bahrain, and praised the organization and arrangements that accompanied this event, wishing the organizers great success.
During the session, the Cabinet discussed a number of subjects and memorandums listed on the agenda. The following decisions were made:
Draft Law of the Unified Regulations Banning Substances which Deplete the Ozone Layer:
The Cabinet discussed the memorandum presented by the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning on the draft law of the unified regulations banning substances which deplete the ozone layer in the GCC.
The draft law aims to eliminate the consumption of substances that deplete the ozone layer and to find safe alternatives to these materials. Further, the draft law aims to regulate the import, export, re-export, transport, storage and the handling of equipment and regulated substances, thereby contributing to the control of these substances.
The Cabinet decided to refer the draft law to the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs for further review.
