A group of the Health Ministry officials visited the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco). The group was led by Dr. Kadhim Al Halwaji Head of Health Promotion Programme and Dr. Mahmood Mamdooh Al Habibi Consultant East Mediterranean Region World Health Organization (WHO) for treatment of Tobacco Dependents.
The group was received by Bapco’s General Manager Human Resources and Administration, Ghassan Al Muhanna, in the presence of Manager Medical Services, Dr Spyridon Trous, the Health Promotion Coordinator, Dr. Mohammed Al Mutawa and Health Promotion Officer, Kamal Ahmed Jassim.
The visit aimed to exchange information and benefit from Al Habibi expertise in the field of fighting smoking in coordinating a program of anti-smoking for Bapco’s employees. The visit also aimed to underline Bapco’s role as a key contributor of the health welfare of its employees and the community members. The group was also briefed on the various processes and latest technologies adopted by leading refinery clinics worldwide.
Ghassan Al Muhanna expressed Bapco’s pride in organizing such visits as part of its CSR strategy and its close cooperation with the various establishments of the society, and within its ongoing efforts aimed to promote Bapco’s role as one of the leading industrial establishments in supporting the community welfare. Upon the conclusion of the visit, the Health Ministry group expressed thanks to Bapco’s management for organizing the visit, wishing Bapco further progress in fostering the national development of the Kingdom.
