NASDAQ’s tower in New York was lit up with Bahrain Bourse’s logo to celebrate the the signing of the agreement that was signed with NASDAQ OMX on Tuesday, 9th of July to upgrade the Bourse’s current trading platform.
Times Square is considered one of the most crowded and lively areas in New York with tourism areas and famous hotels nearby. The number of people visiting the Square exceeds half a million per day.
The upgrade to X-stream Trading, which will be rolled out in the second half of 2014, will provide BHB with a widely deployed high-end, multi-asset trading platform that complies with international standards. The migration to X-stream Trading is a step in BHB’s ambition to become a Gulf region hub, able to host and facilitate other regional markets. NASDAQ OMX has been working closely with Bahrain since 1999.
