His Royal Highness, Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has issued instructions to put an end to repeated attempts to tamper with security immediately in order not to allow the national security of Bahrain to be harmed under any circumstances.
He ordered necessary legal action against the perpetrators, their leaders who instigated violence and terrorism and their collaborators, noting that “inciters can never be left free to wreak havoc on Earth, and will never be allowed to drag the homeland into the dark abyss of sectarianism.”
Speaking as he chaired here an emergency work meeting, HRH Prime Minister strongly denounced the terrorist incidents in Bahrain, including last night’s act which violated the sanctity of the houses of worship and the holy month of Ramadan and did not take into account the inviolability of the blood of Muslims through attempting to detonate the Shaikh Isa’s Mosque in West Riffa and directly targeting worshippers in it.
He underlined that such terrorist crimes are the result of systematic incitement using religious platforms, attempts to provide a political cover for such incidents and some religious figures’ failure to incriminate such crimes from an Islamic sharia’s perspective.
HRH Premier re-affirmed the government’s continuous support for the efforts of security personnel and bodies to assume their national responsibilities in maintaining order and safeguarding security and stability, and directed the Interior Ministry and all security bodies to intensify search and investigation in order to arrest those who committed the cowardly terrorist crime and those who backed them as soon as possible and bring them to justice within the rule of the law.
“The law should be applied to those who committed terrorist acts, instigated them or collaborated in them without hesitation or delay so as to preserve security and civic peace and make sure they receive the appropriate punishment for their heinous act,” he said.
During the same meeting, HRH Premier reviewed the security situation in the country in light of the dangerous escalation in terrorist acts and discussed ways of drying up terrorism resources through adopting efficient measures to stop incitement of terrorism, emphasising that the law must be applied to all, without exception.
“No one is above the law or immune from accountability, and everybody who instigates terrorist and killing are partners in the atrocious terrorist crime,” he added, noting that the government will never allow attempts to disrupt security and target and spread panic among secure citizens to continue.
