In the framework of the continuous efforts to preserve security, order, protecting public safety and prevailing tranquility in all parts of the Kingdom, the Director General of the Capital Governorate’s Police Directorate announced that in the continuity of searching and investigation carried out by the security men to ensure the safety of citizens and residents, the security men were able to thwart terrorist plans.
The Director General stated that these terrorist plans targeted affecting the course of life and crippling the high interests of the homeland, harming its reputation and committing terrorist acts, in preparation of what is so-called rebellion of Aug. 14.
The Director General highlighted that the patrols of the Directorate and the forces of preserving order, within their preventive procedures, they caught weapons and tools used by terrorists in committing their terrorist acts on Friday morning in Al Bilad Al Qadeem area. He also pointed out that the seized items included two locally made bombs, a mock bomb, 8 locally made weapons (rifles) with 20 bullets for them, 3 locally made weapons “gas weapons,” and 4 shots for them, a number of firebombs “Molotov cocktails ready to be used ( about 150 Molotov cocktails),” in addition to a number of iron skewers.
The Director General of the Police General Directorate pointed out that the required legal measures have been taken, and the Public Prosecution was informed of the incident, highlighting that research and investigation were intensified to determine the identity of those involved in this terrorist act, arresting them and hand them to justice.
Governor of the Capital Governorate, Shaikh Hisham Bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa received in the Governorate’s Majles in Gudhaibiya on Thursday, its visitors led by Shaikh Ibrahim Bin Abdul Latif, the American Ambassador Thomas Krajeski, members of the Shura Council, dignitaries, notables, ambassadors, business men, citizens and residents.
The Governor and the visitors of the Majles praised the initiative of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa for receiving the heads of Ramadan’s Majales from all parts of the Kingdom.
The visitors of the Majles stressed that the kind initiative of HM the King asserts the support of the wise leadership for all components of society, in addition to reflecting the cohesion and love between the people of Bahrain.
For his part, the Governor of the Capital Governorate and the visitors of its Ramadan’s Majles lauded the meeting of the Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa with the security leaderships, and reinforced that what the national assembly has recommended was a decision and the will of the people of Bahrain.
The visitors expressed their feeling of optimism and satisfaction with the national environments witnessed during the last period, wishing that Allah preserves Bahrain with security, peace and satisfaction, stressing their support for the wise leadership and all the measures taken for the security, stability and welfare of the people of Bahrain.
The visitors also lauded the programmes and activities of the Capital Governorate during the holy month of Ramadan, which reflected the most beautiful image of community partnership and the love and integrity bonding the people of Bahrain.
For his part, the Governor of the Capital Governorate praised the attendance of the citizens and residents in the Ramadan Majles of the Governorate during the holy month, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for the continuous communication of the people of the Capital with the Governorate.
