His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister issued directive to speed up the implementation phases for the construction of the Mohammed bin Khalifa Cardiac Hospital’s project in Awali.
HRH directed to immediately announce the its tenders, after finalization of engineering and technical blueprints and approval of its proposed implementation phases and timetable according to highest standards which makes the hospital an added value edifice for provision of healthcare and medical treatment services provided by the Government to citizens and equipping the hospital with latest state-of-the-art technologies as part of the Government’s efforts to complete the health services setup which provides citizens’ easy accessibility to an integrated network of topnotch medical and healthcare services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Royal Highness the Prime Minister had received the Minister of State for Defense Affairs, H.E. Lt-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and the working team tasked with following up the implementation of the Mohammed bin Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Hospital’s project, who briefed HRH the Prime Minister on the project and a footage presentation .
HRH the Prime Minister emphasized that we’re looking forward to expanding the umbrella of optimum and most advanced medical treatment services everywhere in the Kingdom of Bahrain, pointing out that efforts will continue to ensure citizen’s obtaining all essential health, education and housing services as per the Government’s plan which we strive to accomplish on the real ground.
His Royal Highness the Prime Minister followed up the proposed phases of implementation and timetable, stressing the need for compliance with the prescribed time schedule in order for the hospital to be ready by early 2016.
It is worth mentioning that the Mohammed bin Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Hospital has an intake capacity of 140 beds, comprising 4 wards for catheterization procedures, two rooms for major cardiac operations, one room for combined catheterization procedures and operation theater at the same time as well as 10 beds for CPR, outpatient clinics, emergency unit, chest diseases, pediatrics ward besides other service facilities.
