Chief Prosecutor of the Northern Governorate, Hussain Al-Bu Ali stated that the High Criminal Court has ruled in the case related to attempted murder of a policeman with ten years jail term for 12 accused, jail term for three years for another, and innocence for other four defendants.
The details of the case were announced by Public Prosecution, that after investigation in the incident regarding a group of defendants who premeditated on 1/5/2012 on killing any policemen they met with, and prepared for that flammable Molotov cocktail.
Those defendants headed towards the patrols keeping order at the entrance of the village Nweidrat intending to kill the policemen inside the patrol, which resulted in causing several burns for a policeman.
The Public Prosecution referred 18 defendants to the criminal trial on charges of attempted murder with premeditation, in addition to gathering and possessing flammable explosives, based on evidences derived from the statements of the victim, and the research and investigation officer, as well as the confessions of some defendants.
The court also counted in its ruling on the report of the forensic medicine, and precedents for some defendants.
