The private sector remains a key player in helping to achieve the food security, thanks to the Government support.
Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr Hassan Abdullah Fakhro has affirmed the support of the wise government and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for all positive initiatives and active movements of the private sector, especially in food security through local projects or agreements with foreign investors and companies.
This was highlighted during a visit to Bahrain Fruits Company in Qalali, in which the Minister was received by Mr Ibrahim Zainal and the company’s officials. They briefed him of operations related to importing and distributing products in the local market and the future development plans.
The Minister hailed the advanced level of the company and its success, in addition to steps taken by the private sector in general and companies specialised in achieving food security in particular to promote economy and food security in Bahrain.
