MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates boast a long history of joint cooperation and solid ties, and, therefore, have set an advanced example of bilateral ties.
He added that constant interaction and cooperation between the two countries are role models of relations between brotherly countries.
HRH Premier made the stances as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace a delegation from the UAE Federal National Council, currently on a visit to the Kingdom to take part in the meeting of the Arab Parliament.
HRH Premier reviewed with the UAE delegation the Bahraini-UAE relations, praising the UAE’s supportive stances towards the kingdom.
“Those genuine stances reflect the fraternal relations bonding the two countries, and the shared goals and destiny bonding GCC countries,” he said.
HRH Premier called for the need to enhance joint GCC parliamentary action, highlighting the pivotal and crucial role played by GCC legislative bodies in strengthening relations among GCC countries and building on GCC peoples’ shared bonds and common history.
Members of the UAE delegation said that the UAE stands by Bahrain and backs its efforts to combat terrorism.
They condemned the cowardly terror blast that took place in Daih village, affirming that the UAE will continue supporting the measures taken by the kingdom to safeguard its security and stability.
