MANAMA: Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa received a delegation from Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Prisons for England and Wales (HMI Prisons) Hindpal Singh Bhui.
They reviewed areas of technical cooperation regarding the exchange of expertise in developing reformation and rehabilitation institutions.
The meeting also touched upon ways of developing prison systems, as well as means to monitor and inspect them in order to establish the principles of human rights.
The Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Statistics, Organisation and Communication Dana Al-Zayani and the International Expert Adviser Khalid Mohieddin Ahmed attended.
