MANAMA: Minister of Interior, Lt-Gen, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in the presence of Minister of State for Interior Affairs, Maj-Gen Adel bin Khalifa Al-Fadhel and Chief of Public Security, Maj-Gen, Tariq Al-Hassan, received German parliamentary delegation led by Bundestag Vice-President Claudia Roth.
Interior Minister welcomed the German delegation visiting the country to bolster bilateral cooperation relations, highlighting the democratic approach adopted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in line with royal reforms and keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to establish the modern civil state and to provide a decent life for citizens and residents, as well as respecting human rights principles, which have been witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain through the implementation of the recommendations of Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry.
He asserted Bahraini policemen have been facing individuals targeting to destabilizing the country’s security and stability through carrying out rioting and terrorist acts.
The German delegation was briefed on weapons and tactics have been used by terrorists targeting citizens, residents and policemen’s lives, as well as executing acts of rioting and vandalism.
The parties reviewed bilateral relations and topics of mutual interest.
