MANAMA: Bahraini retail and commercial banking institute, BMI Bank, awarded Sabria Mohamed Shakib with this year’s first grand prize, a three-bedroom Diyar Homes Villa, making the mother of four the happiest woman with her first ever win.

Additionally, five lucky students, Ahmed Adnan Juma, Shayma Shawqi Almeer, Sakeena Sadeq Yusuf, Dana Abdulwareth Albalooshi and Hasan Ali Alqarooni were awarded with Ayadi for Students’ March prize of $500 each.

“When I first heard the news, I actually thought it was an April Fools’ prank call. I have never won anything in my life and winning a grand prize just seemed unbelievable. Now, that the news has finally settled in, I will be gifting the villa to my son, Hamad, as his future family home when he gets married,” commenting on her grand prize win, the ex-employee of the Japanese embassy Sabria Mohamed Shakib said.

“I am extremely happy with my financial investments with BMI Bank and I would like to wish other Ayadi customers all the best in the upcoming grand prize draws.”

“We are delighted to award the first grand prize of Ayadi 2014 to a homemaker, who will be using the villa for her family’s future needs. This is what we at BMI Bank endeavor to do – positively impact the lives of our customers by making their dreams come true,” Eyad Sater, General Manager Support Services of BMI Bank, said.

“With our first grand prize of 2014 concluded and the second grand prize to be conducted on 25th May, we would like to encourage our customers to take advantage of the savings scheme and continue to invest until 28th May for a chance to win a three-bedroom Diyar Homes Villa.”

This year, Ayadi has opened more savings options for its customers with a bigger prize pool of over US$ 1.9 million with incredible opportunities to win 396 prizes. Customers now have a chance to win more unique and exciting prizes with 6 grand prizes in addition to 300 monthly winners, 30 Ramadan prizes and 60 special cash prizes for students, to be given out throughout the year.

To be eligible for the prize draw, customers can open an Ayadi Savings Account at any BMI Bank branch in Bahrain with a minimum deposit of BD 50. The Ayadi Savings scheme draws were supervised by a representative from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) along with the internal and external auditors and in accordance with Bahrain Banking and Chamber of Commerce Laws.
