MANAMA: The Cabinet on Sunday reviewed the draft law concerning domestic workers, which was prepared based on the on the amended proposal of the House of Representatives and the memorandum of the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission.
The Official Government Spokesperson and State Minister for Information Affairs Sameera Rajab after the weekly Cabinet meeting told reporters that the Cabinet decided to re-evaluate the draft law.
Replying to a question she said though the law of still pending with the legislative authority but would help in ensuring the rights of the domestic workers.
The Minister said that the Cabinet had also approved the draft law No. 12 of the law No. 74 for the year 2006 concerning the welfare, rehabilitation and employment of people with disabilities, which was prepared based on the proposal of the House of Representatives. The draft law was referred to the legislative committee for study and opinion.
