MANAMA: The average completion of projects in Bahrain has increased from 73% by the end of December 2013 to 77% by the end of the second half of 2014.
The Official Government Spokesperson and State Minister for Information Affairs Sameera Rajab after the weekly Cabinet meeting told reporters that the Cabinet discussed the memorandum presented by His Excellency the Minister of State for Follow-up concerning the follow-up on the implementation of the Government Action Plan (2011-2014).
“The memorandum included the follow-up on the implementation of the Government Action Plan in 38 ministries and government entities up to the second half of 2014; the number of projects registered in the electronic system was 1024 during the years 2011-2014; there were 102 long-term projects, which would be completed as part of the Government Action Plan (2015-2018); the implementation of some projects was extended and would be completed as part of the Government Action Plan (2015-2018) and 25 projects only were delayed and would be completed by mid-2014,” the Minister said.
“The Cabinet decided to refer the memorandum to the Infrastructure Ministerial Committee with directives to overcome any difficulties and to expedite the implementation of the delayed projects as well as working with the concerned authorities to ease the procedures that will aid in expediting the implementation of the projects,” she said.
