MANAMA: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society (BBWS), the first of its kind businesswomen platform in the region, on Sunday announced to host the Global Women Economic Forum and Exhibition with an attendance of four hundred delegates, five hundred exhibitors and footfall of 5,000 visitors.
Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King, and President of the Supreme Council for Women, the event is set to take place from 12th to 15th January 2025 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Bahrain Bay.
Ahlam Janahi, President of BBWS, in presence of the board members, has announced the details of the upcoming event which marks the Silver Jubilee of the foundation of the BBWS.
Inspired by the elevating success of the independent self-empowered free-thinking women globally, the Global Women Economic Forum and Exhibition, will provide a rare opportunity to the participants to interact, listen and exchange views with global thought leaders, business gurus, policy makers, public and private sectors key officials during the workshops designed to make this event objective and result oriented.
The Bahraini businesswomen has been part of the economic and social development and the success story of the Kingdom and continuously striving hard for excellence in all vital sectors of the society. The Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the first countries in the region to promote women’s achievements and business success stories.
The vision of BBWS for hosting this global event will help in promoting the achievements I the world of business trade by encouraging, encourage promising female entrepreneurs, reflecting the Bahraini businesswomen and their achievements in the corporate world.
Highlighting the leadership’s role in reshaping Bahrain’s economic and social landscape, Ahlman Janahi said that under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King Bahraini women that has transformed in the last 25 years to a position that they have never achieved before throughout history.
The BBWS President said that initially we are targeting women from twenty-seven countries representing from across the five continents participate and many visitors to the exhibition. The exhibition will also be a wonderful opportunity to create international trade partnerships and open opportunities for export, re-export and stir local investments in the broad spectrum of business climate.
Ms. Ahlam Janahi told the media that Global Women Economic Forum and Exhibition” is a continuation of series of regional and international events organized by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the last two decades.
“The leadership vision and support the Businesswomen’s society received that has had the most significant impact on the BBWS’s journey tracing back two and half decades. “
She said that the Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the first countries in the region to enhance women’s achievements and success stories in the business world. It is the path from which the Bahraini government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister derived its effective and successful approach in achieving plans to empower women at all levels and activating “gender balance” policies with all competencies and distinction.
Hosting the Forum highlights the focus on the radical development of women’s intellectual personality in the business world, encouraging their achievements in this vast field, and paving the way for female entrepreneurs and business startups to develop their vision in line with the era of accelerating achievements.
The forum and exhibition will also focus on the achievements of Bahraini businesswomen in the world of corporate management, in addition to adopting Bahrain as a friendly environment for business, financial transactions and international trade to creating opportunities for businesswomen to increase the level of trade between them through direct participation and exchange of experiences and goods, and creating more specialized businesses that will link businesswomen in Bahrain with other international business communities.
She stressed that the Global Women Economic Forum and Exhibition aims to attract possible opportunities that will help develop the products and services provided by businesswomen in Bahrain and allow for enhancing the success of businesswomen and developing their way of thinking, in addition to creating job opportunities between all businesswomen in the international and global markets and directing them to the field of export and global partnerships.
The event will include several seminars and workshops carefully prepared to serve the objectives of the forum, in addition to holding B2B business meetings and many opportunities for cooperation and acquaintance in business and trade.
Successful stories of businesswomen will be shared and exchanged by qualified and pioneering international businesswomen who were able to face various challenges in order to make their stories successful, in addition to various topics from the workshops related to international standards and quality control, which help upgrade local products to the export level. The exhibition will have different national pavilions for the participating countries, and the expected number of participants in the exhibition will be around two hundred showcasing distinct types of services, businesses, and companies.
