Al Sakhir Airbase: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: In line with the strategy to enhance the scope of portfolio, Infracorp on Thursday signed a partnership agreement with Mena Aerospace to build aircraft hangar facilities in Bahrain.
On the sidelines of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2024, Infracorp, the leading infrastructure and international sustainable developer, announced the signing of a new partnership agreement with Mena Aerospace to develop dedicated aircraft hangar facilities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, serving as a foundation to establish a regional platform for advanced aircraft services in the GCC region.
The agreement signing ceremony was held in presence of HE Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, and Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Mena Aerspace Board of Directors.
“The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications is there to assist any initiative aimed at adding a new dimension to the national economy and I wish all the best to both parties,” HE the Minister said.
BIAS 2024 is being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy King and Crown Prince, on behalf of HM the King, and under the continuous supervision of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of HM the King and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of BIAS.
“This landmark agreement will add a new dimension to Infracorp’s overall strategy as we are setting up a $70million entity to cater for the needs of the totally new but very crucial business line,” Majed Al Khan, CEO of Infracorp and Board Member told The24x7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com) after the agreement signing ceremony.
“The agreement adds a new dimension to our portfolio, and we will build aircraft hangar in Bahrain and beyond with a strategy to make Bahrain an aviation hub in the region,” he said.
