The Royal Golf Club, AWALI: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: Bapco Energies, the integrated energy company leading the energy transition in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has become the Title Partner of the Bahrain Championship, set to take place at the Royal Golf Club from January 30-February 2, 2025.
Last year saw the DP World Tour visit the Kingdom for the first time since 2011 and it returns in 2025 as one of five events in the Middle East. This is part of the International Swing on the 2025 Race to Dubai, with fans able to witness the action with free general admission tickets.
Moving up from presenting partner to title sponsor, Bapco Energies is taking the tournament to new heights and reaffirming its commitment to the growth of Bahrain’s premier international golf event.
The partnership focuses on elevating the tournament experience for players, stakeholders, and spectators alike, establishing the event as a world-class attraction. Bapco Energies is a pioneering environmental initiative, including powering hospitality units and structures with solar energy and batteries. The 2025 event will also feature hydrogen-powered buses, setting the stage for a carbon-neutral tournament soon.

The tournament, which features a $2.5 million prize fund, follows the Team Cup, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic – the first Rolex Series event of the season – and the Ras Al Khaimah Championship as one of eight events on the International Swing.
