Manama: Zain Bahrain continues empowering young people with future-focused digital skills through Zain Esports Academy, one of the flagship initiatives featured in its participation at Youth City 2030, which runs until 20 August at Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB). The Academy enables young people to explore esports, game development, coding, and digital creativity through practical programs designed to strengthen innovation, teamwork, and strategic thinking.
This year, Zain Bahrain has joined forces with leading educational institutions and the Bahrain Esports Federation to expose participants to emerging digital fields, develop their capabilities and inspire them to become creators, innovators and active contributors to the digital economy.
The Academy offers three specialized training programs, including the three-week Future Gamers Lab, delivered in partnership with the College of Media and Design at the American University of Bahrain, which introduced participants to game design, coding, game development, creative problem-solving, and video production. The lab also featured the FC 26 Journey to Pro coaching session, delivered in collaboration with the Bahrain Esports Federation. The session provided participants with insights into competitive gaming, professional training routines, match strategies, and potential career pathways within the esports industry. In addition to the two-week Code Detectives program in collaboration with the Euro University of Bahrain, concluding on 12 August. The program focuses on developing participants’ skills in coding fundamentals and computational thinking through a range of practical activities and hands-on applications.
Through Zain Esports Academy’s participation at Youth City 2030, Zain Bahrain continues to empower gamers, esports enthusiasts, and emerging professional talent, while contributing to Bahrain’s ambition to strengthen its position as a regional hub for esports and digital innovation. Its wider vision is to connect and support esports players, professionals, content creators, commentators, teams, fans, and sponsors across the region.
