Manama: In the presence of Ayman bin Tawfiq Almoayyed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and Ms. Rawya bint Najib Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, Bahrain Islamic Bank celebrated the winners of the second edition of the “We Write in Arabic” initiative during a book signing ceremony for the winning literary works. The event was held as part of the Youth City 2030 activities and was attended by officials from partner organizations, writers, and young talents participating in the initiative.
Youth City 2030 was chosen to host the signing ceremony because it represents a national environment that fosters youthful energy and creativity, and a platform that brings together talents and provides them with opportunities for learning, experimentation, and achievement. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the participants in “We Write in Arabic,” as their work transitioned from the realm of ideas and competition to published publications bearing their names and documenting their literary output. What began as a passion for writing has now become a tangible achievement reaching readers.
This celebration embodies the enduring impact that the “We Write in Arabic” initiative seeks to establish. The initiative transcends the concept of a literary competition, offering a comprehensive path for discovering, refining, and showcasing talent, culminating in celebrating and presenting their work to the community. This strengthens young people’s confidence in their abilities and gives their creative voices a wider platform to be heard and influential.
Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayyed, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, affirmed that the “We Write in Arabic” initiative represents a genuine investment in the creative energies of young people by transforming their ideas into literary achievements that enrich the cultural landscape and reinforce the status of the Arabic language in the hearts and minds of future generations.

He urged them to continue developing their talents and enriching the literary scene with high-quality works that reflect the awareness of Bahraini youth and their commitment to their identity. He also emphasized that supporting young creators and celebrating their achievements is a fundamental pillar in building a generation capable of contributing to shaping the nation’s future.
“Youth City 2030 represents a national platform that nurtures the energies and talents of young people. We are delighted that the city is hosting the signing ceremony for the winners of the ‘We Write in Arabic’ initiative, a scene that embodies one of the most important goals we strive to achieve: empowering young people to transform their talents into tangible achievements they can be proud of, enriching the cultural and creative landscape of the Kingdom,” Ms. Rawya bint Najib Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, said.
“We value the strategic partnerships that enrich the experience of young people and broaden the horizons of opportunities available to them, including the ‘We Write in Arabic’ initiative, which enhances the presence of the Arabic language in spaces of youth creativity and gives national talents the opportunity to express their ideas, refine their skills, and celebrate their literary output.”
“This occasion represents for us an extension of a journey we began with young people since the launch of the ‘We Write in Arabic’ initiative. The true impact of the initiative does not end with the announcement of the winners but continues when young people see their ideas come to fruition,” Ms. Fatima Al-Alawi, CEO of Bahrain Islamic Bank, said.
It has been transformed into a published work bearing his name, and he recognizes that his talent has found the space it deserves, and that his creative voice can reach and influence. She added, “The choice of Youth City 2030 to celebrate these publications carries special significance, as it is a meeting place for young talents and energies, and a national space that opens horizons for them to learn, create, and achieve. We at Bahrain Islamic Bank are proud to continue this journey with the youth of Bahrain, and to contribute to providing opportunities that give them confidence in their ideas and abilities, and motivate them to continue creating and contributing to enriching Arabic content.” Through its “We Write in Arabic” initiative, Bahrain Islamic Bank continues to invest in young literary talents, opening new horizons for them to develop their skills and reach a wider audience with their creative works.
