Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, received the Interior Ministry Inspector-General, Major-General Abdullah Mohammed Al Zayed, to present the NPRA with its internationally accredited ISO 9001:2015 certification.
During the meeting, the NPRA Undersecretary affirmed his commitment to continuing the approach of continuous improvement in performance and service development adopted by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. He noted that this approach helps achieve the desired quality standards and objectives and keep pace with developments in international quality standards, thereby enhancing sustainable quality and institutional excellence.
He highlighted NPRA’s commitment to adhering to quality standards and implementing them accurately across its various directorates and sections through direct supervision by senior management and follow-up by the specialised team responsible for implementing the quality management system. He noted that these efforts have helped achieve the highest international standards.
He also praised the oversight role of the Interior Ministry’s Inspectorate General and the efficiency with which it performs its supervisory duties, which helps strengthen a culture of oversight and transparency across the Ministry’s various directorates. He noted that this role motivates employees, improves the work environment, and enhances institutional performance, ultimately helping provide the best services to citizens and residents.
For his part, the Inspector-General praised NPRA’s commitment to quality standards and commended its distinguished efforts in obtaining the international certification, adding another achievement to its record of institutional excellence.
