HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa with BCCI Chairman Dr Esam Abdulla Fakhro during a meeting on Tuesday
Traders and commercial sector representatives on Tuesday in a meeting with His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa discussed the roadmap to financial recovery.

HRH Prime Minister reiterated his keen interest to have regular contact with traders in order to be updated on their needs and comments as well as first hand information from the economic sector in the Kingdom.

HRH Prime Minister stressed the need to take advantage of the gathering of traders for preserving the Kingdom’s landmark development achievements and enhance them further.

This came as he visited Beit Al Tijjar known as the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) where he was welcomed by BCCI board Chairman and members, senior traders, employees and citizens who greeted him warmly and prayed Almighty to grant him continuous good health and happiness.

During his meeting with the traders, HRH Premier was informed on their visions concerning the coming period and discussed with them ways of boosting the Kingdom’s economic recovery following the regretful incidents that gripped the country recently.

HRH Premier asserted that the government has always supported BCCI, noting that Beit Al Tijjar is doing its best to cope with the on-going situation so as to protect the landmark achievements attained as a result of the progress march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

“The government will do its utmost to remove all obstacles crippling the economic activities in the kingdom, in line with its keenness to listen to the concerned sides whenever it takes a decision,” said HRH Premier while pledging full support to the BCCI.

“Bahrain has to emerge stronger and more determined and this is what we are urged to achieve through effective and responsible partnership between the public and the private sectors,” HRH Premier while referring to the recent crisis witnessed by the Kingdom.

“The government is resolved to back the private sector because it considers it as a full partner in the development march, and therefore, spares no effort for the sake of eliminating all challenges it encounters,” he said.

“We have to be more united and cohesive so that we can defy all challenges,” he told traders, adding that “achieving development is a national responsibility shared by all national partners, and the government has to create suitable conditions for the private sector through improving laws and streamlining procedures.”

HRH Premier also indicated that economic growth and prosperity require a secure and stable atmosphere that encourages investors to engage in the economic march.

HRH Prime Minister also asserted that the trade sector plays a crucial role in boosting national economy and noted that the coming period requires more creative initiatives, the best means to sustain development efforts, vowing that government will provide the necessary support.

HRH Premier hailed the key role played by BCCI in the Kingdom’s economic progress, calling for the need to carry on the on-going partnership between the private and public sectors so as to be able to optimize achievements.

The Premier also explained that the economic decisions taken recently by the government aimed at helping small and medium-sized businesses and eases the burden on them.

During the same meeting, traders delivered many statements in which they stressed that Bahrain’s interests should be prioritized, reiterating BCCI’s full-fledged support and loyalty to the wise leadership.

The BCCI Chairman Dr. Essam Abdulla Fakhro extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to HRH Premier for visiting BCCI premises, which, he said reflect HRH Premier’s constant support for BCCI and the economic sector in the kingdom.

He also said that HRH Premier’s keenness to strengthen public-private sector partnership and attract investments will motivate the private sector to come up with more initiatives aiming to bring about more progress and prosperity for the Kingdom.
