Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa on Monday inspected the Public Security line at the Special Forces’ Square. Present were Public Security Chief Major-General Taraq Mubarak bin Daina and Special Forces Commander.
“I am immensely pleased and proud to meet with you and I found it part of my duty to start right at the beginning with expressing my sincere thanks and appreciation for your dedicated efforts and your continued giving in preserving order throughout the country hailing your capabilities in dealing with the variety of crimes and violations, which you face anywhere and anytime whilst maintaining the same level of competence preparedness and readiness giving an ideal example of what security men should be like in terms of truthfulness, loyalty and patience as well as good behavior and responsibility spirit. You deserve the respect of the people who appreciate your work feel comfortable and reassured in your presence happy with what you are doing,” the Minister in a speech said.
“Security is a top bliss the efforts of those who maintain it are lauded by all and its divine reward is great.”I had the honor to lead you in a delicate situation where the challenge was a qualitative turn in terms of security performance under democratic practices we have achieved a tangible national success amid unprecedented political mobility It started with the launch of the reform project of His Majesty the King may God protect him. Our conduct has been always lawful and accurate as per our civilized principles that govern security work and have been preserved over the years. As to the current conditions they require from us cohesion and resistance discipline and patience we are today living explosive conditions. The plain fact is that we were unprepared for the magnitude of the unrest in February. We are aware that our response has been defective. The timely assimilation of such a situation and control of all reactions was an extremely complicated matter but in any circumstances, we cannot run the risk of our internal security. Now after that bitter experience and gloomy days which no loyal citizen wishes his country to relive we have no option but to win and embrace comprehensive success within a nationwide partnership to ensure the success of the national reconciliation dialogue. No return to the state of disequilibrium the state of chaos or instability the state of ruin of national achievements what enabled us to surpass the surprising phase of destruction will help us overcome the obstacles and resolve the problem It is mandatory to adhere to the highest levels of discipline If you transgress the orders and instructions you will challenge us in doing so before challenging the others. We want to be part of the solution not part of the problem I emphasize that our strength lies in our commitment to laws and our role in light of what the country is going through is to maintain security and enforce order and rule of law. The royal directives are clear enough to guide us to the truth however painful it may be to show what is right is right and establish justice we shall follow suit of our leader. I conclude by saying your role is substantial in all what has happened and all what will happen you are always known for your stances to you I extend my thanks and appreciation and express the pride I take in you in your faithfulness and dedication in your keenness to maintain the safety of the citizens and the nation everywhere in our cherished homeland and at any circumstances and at any time”. Special forces commander also addressed the ceremony.”
The minister also honoured a group of Public Security officers.
