His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met at the UN headquarters today UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. He congratulated him on his re-appointment as the UN Chief wishing him every success.
HM the King also discussed with the UN CFhief strong cooperation between Bahrain and the United Nations in various political, economic and cultural fields lauding the strenuous efforts made by the UN Secretary General to promote international peace and security, fight environmental and natural disasters, combat poverty, provide humanitarian aid and promote values of love, cooperation and tolerance worldwide.
The UN Chief thanked HM the King for the new UN premises in Bahrain commending the royal reform and development steps as well as the advanced status of Bahraini women. He wished Bahrain more progress and prosperity.
