Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced that the long term car parking areas at Bahrain International Airport (BIA), car parks C and D, will be re-opened in the beginning of November after the completion of maintenance works, and will operate on special rates for a limited period of time.
Development work at Car Park E, another long term parking facility, has also been recently completed and a very competitive tariff structure will be applied to all three areas. BAC will also be introducing promotional rates for long term car park users that will last till July 2012.
The special rates are the cheapest in the region and represent great value for car park users. In November and December users of long term car park C, D and E will pay BD 1 per day for only the first 7 days, and extra days up to the 30th day will not be charged. For example; if a user parks for 15 days, he will pay only BD 7, this means that parking for 15 days costs only BD 0.5 per day.
From January to July 2012, long term car park users will pay BD 1 for only the first 14 days, and extra days up to the 30th day will not be charged. For example; if a user parks for 25 days, he will pay only BD 14, this means that parking for 25 days costs only BD 0.6 per day.
Given the high demand for more long term car parking during busy holiday periods, short-term Car Park B will also be utilized for long term car parking with immediate effect. The tariff system will be modified to accommodate both short term and long term parking users. Tariff rates are displayed on the same web page.
Over the past 18 months BAC has continued to introduce parking solutions for Airport users by increasing the capacity of premium and short term car parking as well as opening long term car parking facilities to all passengers. All revenue generated from both short and long term parking will continue to go towards the development of the Airport, including further improving its parking facilities.
