Bahrain Education Minister attends UNESCO meet in Paris

Education Minister Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi is taking part in the 36th Unesco General Conference taking place in Paris. The Conference is being held under the theme “How Unesco can contribute to the construction of a culture of peace and sustainable development.”

The first day of the Conference was reserved for the presentation of the conference’s chairman, Hungarian Katalin Bogyay. It included the election of its vice presidents and heads of the working committees.

Meanwhile, the General Assembly will replace the members of the World Heritage Committee on November 7-9, the end of term.
The work of the 36th Unesco General Conference will close on November 10 with plenary sessions.

Dr. Al Nuaimi heads the Bahraini delegation that includes Dr. Riyadh Hamza the Secretary General of the Higher Education Council and a number of the ministry’s professionals.
